Pretium Finance empowers individuals and businesses to execute effortless cross-border transactions on MiniPay while processing payments in local currencies. They also enable users to pay for utility services and settle bills through their MiniPay wallet.
During Celo Camp, Pretium Finance launched their bill payment service on MiniPay, and they have amassed 66,000 users and processed 19,500 transactions since going live on MiniPay. In 2024, Pretium Finance is on a mission to blur the distinction between existing payment rails and digital assets by enabling MiniPay users in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa to use stablecoins to make seamless payments at grocery stores and supermarkets.
Speaking about his time at Celo Camp, Derrick Bundi, co-founder at Pretium Finance said:
